Hitting a kelly to attack from the turtle position in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Attack From Turtle!

A common defensive position in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the turtle position. Most of the focus around the turtle defense is getting back to an effective guard.

This technique is an attack to gain top side control on your opponent using a wrestling move called the Kelly.

The kelly works well right off a shot where your opponent sprawls directly into a front headlock, but it can also work from a static position. They key is getting your shoulder lined up with their shoulder before executing the technique.
